Our Amsterdam Trip takes care of everything! Included in your ticket is return flights, accommodation, bus transfer, transport, entrance to amazing museums, walking tours + more! Your Capture Guide is an Amsterdam expert. Want to know how to get to Anne Frank's museum? They'll tell you. Want to know where to get the best Dutch cuisine? Where to get tickets for a canal cruise? The best places to grab a drink on the canals? They'll tell you where and how! You'll have spare time to do your own thing and this is what Capture guides recommend...
1. Do a bit of history
Your Capture Guide will take you through the heart of Amsterdam's historic, modern and cultural centres. You'll see the Rijksmuseum, where you can check out some amazing art and historical pieces. If you're interested in Anne Frank's home during WW2, the intriguing hidden attic is near the Westerkerk, just a short walk from the end of our second day walking tour!
2. Do some art
Included in your Capture Travel trip is entrance to the Stedelijk museum: a beautiful modern and contemporary art building. Here, you can catch some 1960s pop art, live body performances by the artists themselves and some interactive pieces that'll make you feel like you're tripping, without the shrooms!
One of our favorite things to do is to just sit back and eat your way through the Dutch capital. Munchies or not, you'll find some amazing and unique eating habits in the city. From having a gooey stroopwafel, a messy hot dog, cocking your head back to swallow some herring, there's some fantastic options! Eat some dumplings in Chinatown; some Febo by the canals or go window shopping with some fritessaus (chips with curry, ketchup or mayo) (delish!)
4. Enjoy yourself
Included in your ticket price is entrance to a fantastic pub crawl on the second night! It's included, so it's basically free alcohol! During your spare time, it's up to you how to enjoy yourself! We don't tolerate hard drugs on our trips (and the cocaine offered to you by dodgy guys on the street has a 70% chance of landing you in hospital!) but if you're looking for information, just ask your Capture Guides (they really do know everything)!
5. Grab a Picnic
If it's a hot day in the city, wandering around old streets can get pretty exhausting! Grab a few people from the trip and head to Vondelpark for the afternoon! Ask your guide and they'll tell you where to find an Albert Heijn supermarket. There, you can pick up some freshly made bread, hummus, crisps, pastries; sushi, sandwiches, sausage rolls, chicken, cheese and cake! Then find a nice spot in the park with the hundreds of other young people and sit back and relax. You'll see Dutch hipsters practicing tightrope walking; artists painting caricatures and locals selling helium balloons for the lols.
